Program
International Cohorts
Our International Cohort Reading Groups provide continuing theological education for men training for ministry or actively serving in ordained office. Through the study of great books in the Reformed tradition, these online study groups offer supplemental instruction that complements seminary training — focused on serving church leaders outside the United States, particularly where access to confessional Reformed resources is limited.
Purpose
Equip current and future church leaders with foundational theological knowledge essential for Christian maturity and ministry.
Foster fellowship and collaboration among pastors, missionaries, and scholars committed to the Reformed creeds and confessions.
Provide a robust theological framework for ordained service in indigenous contexts, including church planting, pastoral ministry, and seminary teaching.
Facilitate the study of great works in the Reformed tradition under the guidance of experienced ministers.
Format
- Six sessions of two hours each: an hour of teaching on the assigned readings (recorded for release as a free reader’s guide course in Reformed Academy), then an hour of unrecorded discussion.
- All sessions meet via Zoom.
- Conducted entirely in English — participants need sufficient proficiency to read the texts, follow lectures, and participate.
Who Should Apply
- Men preparing for gospel ministry — under care, licentiates, ministerial candidates, and other official probationers.
- Ministers serving in confessional Reformed and Presbyterian churches outside the United States that subscribe to the Three Forms of Unity or the Westminster Standards.
